A New Addition...

...is scheduled to arrive October 8th, 2011 :) And, heck yes,we will find out whether it is a boy or a girl! But everyone will have to wait until May 12th to find out! (Please note that no babies were harmed in this celebration. No alcohol was consumed by mom.)

New Playhouse!

Francis and Grandpa Wayne built the most awesome playhouse for Zoe last weekend. It has flower pots in the front, a kitchen sink, a BBQ and even a functioning doorbell! Zoe loooves it!

Natalie stopped by to say hi also...here is Zoe giving her a kiss :)

19 Months!

Yup, only 5 more months until Zoe is 2 years old! Whaaaaa???? Where does the time go?
A few new things about Zoe:

• She is becoming a bit more of a picky eater these days.
• She cut 3 new teeth last week (those were fun times) and now has a whopping 8 teeth!
• New words: bye-bye, parapluie (umbrella), chaussure (shoes), chaussette (sock) and bain (bath)
• She now opens doors on her own.

Sailing on the Bay

On our last day in San Francisco, Francis and I took a 3 hour sailing trip around the bay with dad. I highly recommend Golden Gate Sailing Tours to anyone who is interested in sailing around SF. Our skipper, Bob, was a great guy. He let us sail the boat for all but 30 minutes! I thought dad was going to dump us into the ocean a few times - he says he was "testing" it out to see how far he could push it.

It couldn't have been a better day...sunny but windy enough for us to get some good speed. Good times!

San Francisco 2011!

Francis, Zoe and I headed up to San Francisco for a few days to celebrate Rosana and Nader's wedding. It was so good to be back in the city! After crying for 3.5 hours in the car on the drive up, Zoe seemed to be happy to discover city life. She took in all the sights and was so quiet in her stroller as we walked through SF. She loved all the pigeons and the hustle and bustle found only in a city. I wonder if she'll be a glamorous city girl...?

We were able to spend some time with our friends, Jenny and Josh, Friday morning. It was altogether too short of a visit but it was adorable to see Jake and Zoe interact. Zoe was not shy and gave him lots of kisses. Mimene and FanFan joined us on Friday and babysat Zoe while we went to the wedding. We checked out the Cable Car Museum, walked through Chinatown and chilled at the amazing condo we rented. Zoe even fell asleep on the couch with them...something she has never done with us but I wish she did once in a while so we can snuggle.

18 Month Stats

Finally - some updated stats! Zoe had her 18 month check up today, although it is 3 weeks past. I don't know if she is starting to recognize the nurse who gives her the shots or if she is still traumatized by her last doctor experience but she was not a happy camper. Despite her tears and screams, the doc gave her a clean bill of health.

Stats:
Height: 33 inches (85th percentile)
Weight: 28 lbs 14 oz (94th percentile)

Mellow Weekend

Here are some pictures of this past weekend at our time at the Zoo and around our neighborhood. I was hoping to see the new baby giraffe but it turns out that he will not be out for another 2 weeks. I can't wait!

And I love it when Francis goes to Costco on his own...he always comes back with WAY more than we need and new toys for Zoe. This time around he came back with this wagon. She is totally obsessed.
