Pre-Thanksgiving Weekend

My parents came to visit the weekend before Thanksgiving - I am just now getting to posting these pictures, it's been a busy couple of weeks! We spent most of the time hanging out at the house and Zoe probably spent a good half day in the backyard swing. She knew that Mimene and Fanfan would stay out there with her as long as she wanted. She was in heaven. Spoiled, anyone?? :)
With these built in babysitters, Francis and I were able to go out on a date Saturday night. We didn't have reservations but, luckily, we were able to sit at the bar at Opal. We got back home to find Maddox cuddling with his grandma. I'm not sure who was more comfortable...
Here's dad handling two at once while we shopped. It sure would be helpful to get this help again for my holiday shopping!

Family Portraits

We recently got some professional family portraits done by the fabulous Colleen Riley! It was a bit of a struggle to get Maddox to cooperate since he hates being naked but Colleen was able to capture some amazing shots despite his protests. I hope that we can get more sibling and family shots next time!

Rainy Day Bowling

Zoe's daycare was closed last Friday for Veteran's Day and since it was raining we thought it would be a perfect day to go bowling. Zoe had such a great time once we finally got a lane (we had to wait for over an hour) and she insisted on bowling not only her game but my entire game as well. She was pretty good. She even got a spare all on her own!

You might be wondering where Maddox was. Well he was there too and decided to sleep the entire time :)

Hamburger!

Here's Zoe's audition for the Pink Panther. Steve Martin ended up getting the role. What do you think? Who did it best?

1 Month!

It's hard to believe that a whole month has already passed since Maddox was born! It feels just like yesterday that we first brought him home...but, at the same time, it feels he's been in our lives forever.
He is doing really well, eating every 3 hours during the day and only waking up once at night. We are very lucky to have another sleeper! He is starting to be more alert and has given us his first real smiles which melts my heart. I can't wait for his first laugh :)

Happy 1 month birthday, Maddox!
