Francis, Zoe and I just got back from our annual trip. This year we decided to go to Turks and Caicos. We love the Caribbean! We stayed in Provo, on famous Grace Bay Beach. It was a week of sun filled fun and relaxation. I have a lot of pictures for this post - I just couldn't decide which pictures to edit out...there were so many fun ones!
Here is Francis introducing Zoe to the beach. I love this one. Zoe discovering the soft, flour-like sand. I think she ate a good couple handfuls of it too. And here she is discovering the waves... Love love love :) Francis and Zoe spent lots of quality time building sand castles, sand turtles and, the most impressive of all, great white sand sharks. We made sure to cover Zoe's baby skin with 70 or 100 SPF and she still got a great tan! The girl really has the best skin.
Zoe playing with her friend, Milo. I don't know who enjoyed crawling under the boat more...they must have been doing this for a good hour. Looks like someone is ready to hit the water! All that fun in the sun really took it out of little Zoe. She fell asleep right in the middle of the kitchen floor one day and on a beach lounger another day. Our room had a fantastic wrap around balcony that we definitely took advantage of. Zoe loved drawing on the sliding glass doors. We had the most amazing views... and spent a lot of time people watching. Waiting to go to the pool... Zoe loved saying "hi" and "bye" to everyone walking on the path below. Breakfast on the balcony... no better way to start the day! We went out to a handful of restaurants on Grace Bay. Hemingway's had the best setting, right on the beach with beautiful sunset views. We went here to enjoy dinner and listen to the live Caribbean music offered on Thursdays. Let's just say that the food was just OK and there was nothing Caribbean about the elevator tunes they were playing. We still had a good time though. :) Coco Bistro was probably the best dining experience there. It had amazing ambiance and equally amazing food. Although Zoe seemed to have a craving for blue crayons that night. Zoe loved all the lizards running around the resort. This one let her get pretty close: Our last day and our last beautiful T&C sunset... Where to next year??
Sorry for the super late 21 month old post. Better late than never! Zoe seems to keep getting taller and taller and her weight seems to have tapered off at 29.5 lbs. I miss her round little Buddha belly! Vacation pictures are on it's way...
We headed down to LA this past weekend, Fontana Raceway to be exact. Francis and his buddy Jorge received a day at the race track (which entails classroom time, full fire resistant suit, and 12 laps around the track in a NASCAR) from Santa Clause last year. SOOOO much fun! It's my turn next time :)
Here is Francis practicing his skills on the drive down. Gooooo daddy! (This was before she got scared of the helmet.) Looking out for the guys.
Zoe and Sunny playing...Zoe was trying to give her kisses :) And they are set! Francis is in #2 and Jorge is in #14.
6th lap of 12...gunning it around the track.
Watch out Ricky Bobby...you've got serious competition.
"We're doing this every year!"
Family pic - poor Zoe melting down after 3 hours of waiting patiently.
