Saturday was Zoe's first official beach day... the first of many I'm sure. While she was discovering sand (again, she is not a picky eater) and cold ocean water, Maya was busy trying to find lizards. A couple of things we cannot do without now that we have a baby: beach umbrellas and spray-on sunscreen.

We were busy right from the start on Sunday. Francis spent a large part of the morning adding the baby seat to my bike and going out to find the perfect bike helmet for Zoe. After Zoe's morning nap, we walked to the Mission to see the
I Madonnari chalk festival only to get there and find out that dogs weren't allowed. I guess they don't want to take any chances at a dog peeing on their chalk paintings. So we walked around the Rose Garden instead and headed back home.

I couldn't wait to take Zoe out for a spin on the bike... She was so excited to put on her new helmet! Here she is in her crib getting ready for her first ride on a bike.

We took a ride down State St and people watched. Everyone loved Zoe. It must be the pink helmet with cats and paw prints ;)

And here she is passed out ... I think this should have been me after cycling with an extra 26+ pounds on the back of my bike!

It's a good life...
