Some of her favorite things these days are: buses, turtles, boats, trashcans (yes, she loves it when we go on our walks and can call out all the trashcans), bubbles, plums (pronounced "ploo"), apricots, high heels, the word "school" but she pronounces it "koo" and pushing her own stroller on walks.Tuesday, June 21, 2011
22 Months!
It's clearly getting harder to capture a monthly chair with Zoe these days. Thank goodness we're only doing this for 2 more months (and then we'll move to every 6 months).

Father's Day 2011!
I can't believe this is Francis' second Father's Day already! And to think that next year we will be celebrating with TWO kids! I think all the time about what a great dad Francis is. From the moment Zoe was born, he was totally in love with our little smushy lips daughter.
We went to Father's Day brunch at El Paseo this year. We love the big booths there. We can corner Zoe in and not have to worry about her getting up and down and running around the restaurant. ;)

Max and Hannah's Wedding!
This past weekend was a whirlwind, not only was it Father's Day but it was also Max and Hannah's wedding weekend! Since both Francis and I were part of the wedding party we didn't have the time to take a lot of pictures but here are a few of my favorites that I was able to gather.
Zoe looked adorable in her dress. Here she is as we're waiting for the photographer and all getting ready...
Waiting patiently with cousin Nadia.
The ceremony took place at Alice Keck Park, one of my favorite parks in Santa Babrara. Zoe was a great flower girl! I was a bit stressed that day because during the rehearsal she did not cooperate and only wanted to be in my arms. Although not a single flower petal was thrown by any of the flower girls, they did a great job! After walking (well, really, running) down the aisle, Zoe went and sat with Aunt Natalie and was occupied with the lip gloss in her purse for the entire ceremony. Thanks for your help Natalie! Here are a few of the pictures I was able to find of the ceremony. I will update with more pictures as I get them.
Mr and Mrs Avila!
The reception was held at the University Club. The location was fantastic. There was a reception room with piano and fireplaces, a "man room" with pool tables and a croquet lawn outside. Here are Francis and Zoe playing some croquet...

It's official! Zoe with her new aunt Hannah!
Congratulations Max and Hannah!! We are so happy for you!!!

Maya's Vacation
When we were on vacation last week our amazing friends, Marie and Steve, watched Maya the entire time we were gone (thanks Marie and Mo!!) From the looks of it, Maya didn't seem to miss us at all. Actually, I think she's probably depressed now that she doesn't have the kitties to obsess over and other doggies to play with.
