After dealing with fog and cooler temperatures over the past few months, it seems as though summer has finally arrived in Santa Barbara! It must have been 90 degrees today. I love it but Maya thinks it's too hot :)

13 Months!
Zoe is 13 months and FINALLY her 2 bottom teeth have come in! They are so cute...if teeth can be "cute."
She has been doing the drunken sailor walk for a few weeks now and she generally follows Maya everywhere she goes. Now I just need to find some shoes that she can't immediately take off :)

Hiking with Maya
I decided to take Maya on a quick hike down Jesusita Trail this morning. It was a perfect, mid-70 degree day in Santa Barbara and it was really nice to hit the trail. It had been way too long!
Maya had a great time chasing all the lizards and looking out for squirrels.

New Little Sunshine
I am late all the time now in posting updates, life is busy these days!

Zoe seems to be getting used to these road trips. Here she is playing with her favorite teapot toy (thanks Erica and Trevor!). Now if it only played more than 3 songs...
We drove down to Los Angeles this weekend to visit our friends George and Paty and their new baby girl, Sunny. She is SOOO cute! Sunny was born on August 21st...a year and day after Zoe. I forget how small babies are, especially compared to my own chunky baby :)
Here are the proud parents:
The boys are definitely proud of their daughters. I wonder what they will do once these girls start dating. Doesn't Zoe look like a giant compared to Sunny??

Happy 35th Birthday, Francis!
35 years ago, on September 5th, Francis was born!
We celebrated his birthday this year by spending the day in Los Angeles. We started off at Lauren Canyon Dog Park where Maya had the chance to stretch her legs. Actually, she really just stood around in the shade it was so hot!

We then headed over to West Hollywood where we had super tasty lunch at The Marix. I really don't know what was better, the fajitas or the margaritas (margaritas).

We spent the rest of the day shopping which turned an already great day to a really great one. And after 6 hours of shopping, we finally hit the road and drove up to Bakersfield to celebrate with Wayne, Natalie and Shannon.
