Weekend in Folsom

We braved the 6 hour drive and headed up to Folsom last weekend and the kids were surprisingly well behaved in the car (did I just jinx us?). We spent most of our time hanging out at the house and bringing Zoe to the awesome parks. I love the parks in Folsom. There are more than I can count and are so clean, super kid AND dog friendly. My mom pointed out that a benefit of living not too far from a prison is that the prisoners come out and clean the parks. So other than looking out for kidnappers and murderers we totally had a great time at the parks. (I kid, people. I kid.)

Zoe requested that Mimene do the "choo choo train" with her down the slide. I not sure who has the biggest smile on their face :)

Happy 9th Birthday, Maya!

Today is our sweet Maya's 9th birthday and I was able to capture Zoe singing happy birthday to her. Too cute!

Valentine's Day 2012

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I was completely spoiled today. Flowers, gift certificates for a manicure and massage, both kids asleep by 8pm and a dinner of my favorite things: duck pate, rillettes, salame, stinky french cheese assortment, dates, salad (an attempt to be healthy) and a good bottle of pinot noir. Dessert consisted of chocolate toffee cookies, ice cream and swiss chocolate. Mmm, mmm, mmm! Diet? What diet?

4 Months!

Maddox just had his 4 month checkup and despite fighting a cold he was given a clean bill of health! Here are his latest stats:

Weight: 14 pounds 4 ounces (40th percentile)
Height: 24.5 inches (30th percentile)

Zoe came to his appointment and was more interested in the lollipops than the shots her little brother was getting (no surprise there). Here she is with her umbrella. She gets so excited when it rains because she knows she can finally use it. Now if can only get her to leave it closed when she's indoors.

Finally! An Update!

I've been back at work now for a little over 3 weeks and it's been so busy I've barely had a chance to do anything personal. So I thought I'd just post a bunch of random pictures from the past month.

Maddox is getting chunkier and cuter by the day. He is smiling all the time, getting better with his tummy time, rolling over and laughing.
