Easter Egg Hunt 2011

We had a great Easter weekend. Francis and I actually had the day off on Friday so we took advantage and had a "date day" while Zoe was at daycare. Such a treat!

Then on Saturday we headed over to the Miller's Annual Easter Party. Zoe ran around with her cousins, couldn't get enough of the "big kids slide," and went with Francis to the softball game (while some of us stayed behind to hide the eggs). All this before the actual egg hunt!

It was madness when everyone came back from the softball game - all the kids were anxious to run outside to find the hidden eggs but the little ones got to go first, not that Zoe needed it ;) She was a pro at finding eggs! She got in some practice at daycare...2 egg hunts there alone. Here is a quick video of her in action. She would say "wow..." when she'd find a new egg and she would shake it to make sure it would have something in it before putting it in her basket.

Harmonica

A friend of mine posted that her son loved playing the harmonica. So since he and Zoe are only 3 months apart, and I happened to be at a Target (a luxury for me since the closest Target is 40 miles away) and the harmonica's were only $3, I thought what the hell, let's get her one.

Well, let me just say that it was $3 well spent. It took Zoe a couple of days to really grasp the concept but now she proudly walks around the house playing the harmonica - and driving the dog crazy.

20 Months!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been sick for a week now and Zoe caught it for a couple days as well. She seems recovered already though.

Well, can you believe it? 4 more months until our favorite little munchkin is 2 years old!!! Time is flying by! Here is the latest chair picture:She has mastered the word "no" and, more recently, the word "mine." She still loves music and the harmonica is her new favorite toy.

Here are a couple of other pictures I took last weekend. The first is of Zoe wondering why Maya is laying on the blanket with her head on a pillow...she is a dog, isn't she?

Fabulous Shades

Zoe has a new obsession: sunglasses. She can play for hours with them. She will put them on, take them off, push them on top of her head, put them in her shirt... It's too cute! Here is a mini photo shoot we took last week during a lunch break. Those sunglasses used to be mine.

5 Year Anniversary

It's true...we got married on April Fool's Day in 2006. Although by this picture, you'd think I was playing a big joke on Francis ;)

Happy Anniversary, Francis! I love you SO much! You are the best husband ever (and daddy to Zoe and Maya). I can't wait to see what these next 5 years have in store for us!
