Annual Easter Party!

The Miller Family had their annual easter party again this year and Zoe was finally big enough to play in the softball game!

Grandpa Wayne showing Zoe some tips.
This was right before the pitch hit her nail so hard it fell off :/

With cousin McKenzie - these two love each other so much!
The calm before the storm...

The candy lasted about 4 months this time around. These kids are getting good at finding the eggs!

The next morning was Easter Sunday and the kids got to open up more easter gifts...I'm going to be sad when they stop believing that the Easter Bunny is real.

We had our own Easter Egg hunt in the backyard but instead of candy we hid all the extra change from our cars.  They made out with almost $20 each!

All of that change went straight into their "savings" piggy banks.  They have 2: a "spend" and a "savings" piggy bank. I'm not completely sure they understand the difference but hopefully one day it will make sense.  :)

A Little Bit of Austin in SB

I got a call one day from one of Zoe's best friends from Austin asking me if they could come to SB to spend the day with us during spring break.  I couldn't believe it... they wanted to drive half way across the country so that the girls can spend a single day together? Amazing.   We started by having lunch at Carlitos and headed to the top of the courthouse for some views.

Digging for treasure.

Post dinner sunset at Hendry's Beach - these 3 are just too cute.

It was such a fun day and I wish this family could live here in town with us - we'll just have to make a point to visit each other every year.   :)

Disneyland 2016

We took the kids to Disneyland in March for a couple of days - one of the perks of living in southern California.  We may or may not have snuck Maddox in and had him pass as 3 years and under  ;)

Stay cool, Maddox. Don't blow your cover.

60 year celebration!  I will celebrate when we can get a family picture in this spot with all of us smiling with eyes open.

Zoe couldn't wait to get on Matterhorn now that she was finally tall enough!
Maddox, on the other hand, didn't pass the test and had to stay behind with me.  Disney was kind enough to hand him a Matterhorn pass for next time and he can bypass the entire line next time we go (assuming he's tall enough).  It really is the little things that make this place so special.

This employee tried everything to make him pass - I think he was trying to get him to stretch his neck here.
Taking selfies while we wait for Zoe and Francis.

And...finally...here we are at Thunder Mountain Railroad.  Maddox's favorite ride of all time.  I think we must have gone on this one at least a dozen times.

Splash Mountain.  Zoe finally gets what to do  :)

Finding Nemo submarine was a hit. And a nice break from the heat.

Note the crazy eyes .. the meltdown is about to happen ...

They were done at this point and this is the best I could do with Mickey.
 Day 2...

Pluto was hilarious.  I don't know what he was doing or saying to the kids but they were cracking up.

Note the crazy eyes on Zoe this time....
Yup, she totally gets what to do.  We'll keep working on Maddox.
