12 Month Stats

We just got back from Zoe's 12 month pediatrician appointment and according to her doctor she is in perfect health and clearly "loves to eat"!

Doesn't she look perfect? :)

Her latest stats:

30.5" tall (90th percentile)
23lbs 7oz (80th percentile)

• Favorite food: cheese, banana, avocado, dried strawberries, pasta, mango, fish, green beans, yogurt and CUPCAKES. She's really not picky (Note her weight)
• Food dislikes: Um....(Note her weight)
• Favorite toys: Books, her "minou", stacking cups, instruments, her singing tea pot, dog toys
• Schedule: goes to sleep at 7pm and sleeps until 7am
• Teeth: NONE. Zip. Nada.
• Walking skills: Cruising everywhere, stands alone for about 30 seconds, takes 5-10 steps on own
• Words: Mama, Da, Mana (which I think means "Maya")

Birthday Weekend

We had Zoe's 1st party at Summerland Beach on the most perfect day. About 40 close friends and family came to celebrate with us and Zoe was completely spoiled. Thank you everyone for making Zoe's 1st birthday so special! She is so incredibly lucky to have such great family and friends that love her so much!

The Exciting Things

The highlight of our weekend was going to a new park. I'm discovering a whole new side of Santa Barbara. Funny how things change when you have a kid :)

It turns out that our little daredevil loves to go down slides....not surprising since she loves anything with speed, to be held upside down and thrown up in the air. She's not exactly ready to go down the slide by herself though.

She is also getting really close to walking! She took a few steps on her own today!

Zoe's First Fiesta

We weren't able to do much this year for Fiesta since Zoe is too young to stay out past 8pm but the one thing we were able to enjoy was Children's Parade on Saturday morning. We rode our bikes down to Peet's coffee and slowly woke up while watching the celebration. I never knew there were so many kids in Santa Barbara!

Maya celebrated Fiesta this year by tearing open the bag filled with confetti eggs and getting it all over her bed.

It's been a busy week for us and I've been lagging on the blog updates...so this post will be a collage of all the visitors we've had this past week :)

It all started last Saturday when we had Max, Hannah, Nadia and Natalie over for a BBQ. While Hannah and I talked about all of her wedding plans, Zoe got to spend some quality pool time with her cousin Nadia. Who knew a small pop-up pool and a couple of buckets could be so entertaining?

Grandpa Joseph stopped by on Sunday to give Zoe some love...but I secretly think he wanted some of our homemade mint oreo ice cream:)

And our third set of visitors were our good San Francisco friends, Jenny and Josh - and their son, Jake! This was our first time meeting Jake - about time!! It was so cute seeing the kids play together...especially since we don't know many kids close to Zoe's age.

And we wrapped up the weekend with Daddy tickles and giggling fits. A weekend wouldn't be complete without that. :)
