For my last weekend of maternity leave we decided to head up to Big Bear and take Zoe sledding since she loved it so much when they had snow at the zoo. (I know, I know...I am super late on posting this since I've been back at work for a couple of weeks now and things have been
suuuuper busy). We weren't sure what to expect as we were driving up there...would battling the horrible Friday LA traffic be worth it? Would the cabin we rented be worth the price? And most importantly, would there be snow??? Well...YES!!! It was all worth it and we found lots of snow to build a great sledding area and our little daredevil loved every minute of it.
Taking turns pulling Zoe up the slope. Good exercise!
Hunter's Lodge...the name of our cabin.

This ranch only had 4 cabins as vacation rentals and we were the only ones there. It was really quiet....except for when the lion at the animal sanctuary down the road would roar. Yes, you read that right. We heard the lion roaring throughout the day and night. I'm just glad I read about it before hearing it. I would have definitely freaked out otherwise.

Here is a video of Maddox going down the slopes. Who said 3 months is too young to sled?
