Zoe and I flew up to Sacramento to visit my parents last weekend while Francis stayed home to paint and re-do the kids room. I was a little weary of flying with Zoe by myself since I did not buy her a seat (it's the last time she will be able to fly for free - booo) and because my belly is so big these days. I was hoping that there would be an extra seat for her so that she wouldn't have to sit on my lap. Everything turned out OK...but not before dealing with a little drama. Let me start by saying that I am not a bad driver (or am I??) but I somehow managed to get Zoe car sick for the second time in a row on the same exact stretch of highway. I cleaned the seat as well as I could but it was pretty stinky and the bad check lady definitely gave me a funny look.
Once we got to Sacramento, everything was great and we all had a blast. She devoured her homemade crepes and Mimene even made her some organic cherry earrings - something only a grandma can think of and something I'm sure she is going to show off at daycare.
Zoe also got to play with "Cattitude," the cat who has adopted my mom and, "Jemma", the dog that my mom was dog sitting.
We hung out at the pool for most of Saturday which was amazing since the weather was so warm. I'm not sure who had more fun, my dad or Zoe. Here they are deciding whether they should just jump in or go in slowly.
They decided on maybe a half jump into the pool:

The next day I realized that we were about to leave but we hadn't taken many pictures so here is our attempt at some family shots.
