Tinker Toys

The Natural History has the best exhibit right now! It's called Tinker Toys...and I think the kids could have stayed there for the entire weekend. Maddox was obsessed with the water fountain at first but quickly discovered the Tinker Toy world. This exhibit is up until early September so let us know if you ever want to meet us there - it's a quick 10 minute walk from our house :)

 

 

 

Swim Class

Zoe started up big girl swim classes this past weekend. The whole week leading up we were trying to get her pumped up for it. We were telling her how great it was going to be and how her friend Siena will be there. We even told her she could go get a mani-pedi after (bribes). She was NOT having it.  She was very unhappy about it the whole week and every time we brought it up tears would soon follow. Well, the day arrived and after battling to get a bathing suit on and, of course, more tears, we got to the pool and she couldn't wait to get in! Figures.

We were very proud of her. She did everything the instructor asked her to with a huge smile on her face the whole time! 

Father's Day Weekend

We celebrated Father's Day a day early since I had to fly out to New York at the crack of dawn on Sunday.  Mimene and Fanfan made a quick trip of it but we were able to pack a lot of quality time in while they were here.

I can't believe everyone is looking at the camera and most of us had our eyes open!

Dad had a blast playing with his grandkids. They couldn't get enough.

And we had to get our usual mani pedi's when Maddox was taking a nap. Zoe  was lucky enough to get a massage as she waited for her toes to dry.

We went to the Rose Garden later in the afternoon - look at that face!

20 months!

Happy belated 20 months, Maddox!!

 A few updates on Maddox:

* His is a better eater as of late and his favorite foods are apple sauce, blueberries, peas and pizza

* A few new words: school, spicy, oiseau (bird), bath/bain, thanks (sounds like "txsss"), ball

* He is obsessed with his train tracks, taking things apart and putting them back together, jumping, his toothbrush and putting on his own shoes

* He has a few new teeth! Only 4 to go...
