A Big Month of Firsts

November was a big month of firsts for Zoe!  First off, she had a dentist appointment and became an official member of the No Cavity Club. I knew all those fights about brushing teeth would pay off one day!  This dentist was great, they even painted her nails for her after they polished her teeth.

Another first -- after about 45 minutes of practicing, Zoe is now riding her bike without training wheels! We're still working on Maddox - I'm hoping that his sister will inspire him.

And lastly, she is also swimming on her own!  We have been going to an amazing swim school called Nitro and she did more in the first month than she did in 2 years of her old swim school. They focus on one station at a time until the kids perfect it before moving on to the next step. It seems so simple, I'm surprised more places don't have the same strategy. So proud of her!
Zoe is currently on Station 6

Kindergarten Holiday Performance

Zoe's class and the neighboring kindergarten class got together to put a holiday music performance together for the parents.  It was just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Here is a quick video ... Zoe clearly doesn't have great rhythm  ;)

The Frenchies Are Back

That's right...the frenchies came back to celebrate Maddox's birthday! This time the weather was perfect with little humidity. We visited a lot throughout the area but they really spent the majority of their time building their grandson the best train track he's ever seen.

This perfectionist had to get it just right...
We enjoyed dinner and some live music at Angel's Icehouse... I think there were more kids there than adults.  Love that place!

We also introduced Mimene and Fanfan to "fancy BBQ" at Lambert's. SO good! We were too busy enjoying our lunch and didn't get any pictures but we did manage to get these with the kids downtown.

We walked off our lunch on South Congress and stopped in to check out Allen's Boots.  I've never seen so many cowboy boots.  I think I definitely need to get a pair - we do live in Texas now!
We finally carved our pumpkins... I always forget how stinky these things are.

Getting serious.

Fanfan's pumpkin won best in show
The finished products!
Jagger really wanted to taste them
Our neighbors were hosting a haunted house so we took advantage of that to test out the kids' costumes. Maddox practiced his trick or treating... he caught on quickly once he realized candy was involved.

Next visit will be for Christmas!
