The 7mo old vs. the 7yr old

Here are Maya and Zoe playing tug of war. Maya is very gentle with Zoe but there was no way that she was going to let her keep her toy.

We've always told people that Zoe gives Maya the best smiles and giggles. Well, this video is evidence!

LA Visitors

We spent this past weekend with George, Paty and Mini P (a girl, due August 21st!). Paty's belly is perfectly round - love it! We drove to the top of Rincon Mountain on Saturday night where our friends were throwing a party. The views were incredible...we could see up and down the coast for miles and miles. BBQ, band, good friends, amazing weather...what a great Saturday!
We did some serious chilling out on Sunday. Paty and I layed on the big lounge chair in the yard, read our books and napped while the boys played Wii. Here we are playing with Zoe.

Now if we can only convince George and Paty to move to SB....

7 Months!

We went to the Rose Garden at the Mission today for Zoe's 7 month birthday. Nothing like spending a lazy afternoon on a blanket in the sun.

And, by popular demand, here is the monthly chair picture... look at how much she's changed since her first month!

Weekend in the Bake

We headed out of town this weekend to visit the fam in Bakersfield. As soon as we arrived I realized that I had forgotten Zoe's bag...I mean, who forgets their 6 month old baby's bag??? (At least I didn't forget Maya's food!) I felt like such a bad mom... until I realized that this meant that I get to go on a mini shopping spree at the brand new Target!! I can't even begin to tell you how much I wish we had one in Santa Barbara. It's ridiculous that the nearest Target is a good half hour drive away. We got Zoe some new toys and her first bathing suit (SO cute!)... I can't wait to spend the weekends at the beach. And if today's weather is any indication, it might be sooner than later!

On Saturday night we went bowling with Wayne, Nat and McKenzie. Natalie kicked our butts, it wasn't even close. :)

We got back to Santa Barbara mid-afternoon today and walked over to the Rose Gardens and relaxed. Zoe loved rolling around on the grass but she didn't like the way it tasted so much. :)

More SB Zoo

The Santa Barbara Zoo is officially one of our favorite places to take Zoe. It's small enough so that you don't get burnt out but has enough exhibits so that you don't get bored. Zoe seemed to be more interested this time around. She actually stayed awake the entire time!

Next time we're planning to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it on the top of the hill overlooking East Beach. We're really roughing it here in Santa Barbara...
