18 Month Stats

Maddox was more traumatized about getting weighed at this doctor visit than he was about getting his shots. Here he is trying to kick the nurse away.  I'm sure he'll love to look at these one day ;)

Stats:
Height: 32 inches (40th percentile)
Weight: 27 lbs 8 oz (70th percentile)

Zoe's stats at this age:
Height: 33 inches (85th percentile)
Weight: 28 lbs 14 oz (94th percentile)

He's picked up a few new words these last couple of weeks. He now says "dehors" ("outside" in french), "pain" ("bread" in french), bubble, car, and he's perfected saying MINE...he usually yells that one.

Homemade Ice Cream!

We love our ice cream machine!  Zoe made some of her favorite ice cream the other day - strawberry!
"Is it ready?  How about now?  How  much longer?  Now???"
Where did it go??
All done!

18 months!

Happy year and half, Maddox!  I  CANNOT believe you are already 18 months old. You are the sweetest, cutest and most independent little boy I know.  We love you!

A few updates on Maddox:
* He is a great sleeper these days and usually sleeps from 7:30pm to 7:00am
* His favorite foods are apple sauce, crackers, cheese, avocado and anything sweet
* He is finally drinking milk out of a sippy cup
* A few new words: cracker, hi, egg, chien (dog), and I swear I've heard him say "Zoe" a few times :)
* He absolutely loves music, jumping, dancing, baths and to be chased around the house by his sister
* He has a whopping 9 teeth

Easter 2013

We had a great Easter weekend (last weekend) like we always do. We went to the Miller's Annual Easter party - I think there was close to 100 people there this year.  Crazy!

Maddox and Zoe had a blast swinging, climbing and playing with all their cousins.
This is how he swings. He ran right up to it and threw himself belly first on the swing. This kid cracks me up.
Zoe getting pushed by Kenz
M thought this slide was the best thing ever. Even going down on his knees, falling face first into the bark didn't deter him.
So cute!

Every year the kids go play a game of softball in the fields behind the house while the Easter Bunny comes and hides the eggs.
So excited to be on McKenzie's team!

Getting pointers from Daddy.
Great pointers ;)
The paparazzi capturing Zoe's hit
On second base ready to run to third - so proud!
Meanwhile, Maddox was checking out all of the ladybugs.  I'm just glad he didn't try to eat them.

The Easter Bunny did not disappoint this year!
Probably wondering what it is...

When big sister walks away...the candy is fair game
Discovering Rolo's (a clear new favorite)...with wrapper and all
I always bite his cheeks, poor kid.  I can't help it!
We had Sunday Easter brunch with the family at El Paseo - this was also a belated birthday celebration for Grandpa Joseph's birthday. It was great to have everyone together!
A rare family picture

Maddox spotted the chocolate fountain and insisted on trying it out himself.  The love of chocolate fountains must have gotten passed down from Fanfan.

7 Years!

Happy Anniversary to us!  7 years and going strong :)

A lot has happened these past seven years. We've moved from San Francisco to Santa Barbara, bought a house, had 2 healthy kids, traveled to several new places in the world and acquired a few wrinkles along the way.
Here we are celebrating and enjoying a kid-free lunch
