Zoe and Maddox's cousin, Cayleb, had his 4th Super Hero themed birthday party this weekend! Between the crafts, bouncy house, and pinata, the kids had a blast. We had successful nap time afterwards which made my day :)

Pajama Day

Today was pajama day at daycare!

 

Sushi Night

Natalie was in town last weekend and we all decided to head out to our favorite neighborhood sushi restaurant that has the best booths for our kids. We usually squeeze them in and sit on each end so they can't escape. We thought Maddox would love sushi like Zoe but he kept spitting everything up past the first bite. He is definitely not an adventurous eater like his sister.  Zoe, on the other hand, kept eating all of Francis' favorite "orange" fish.

My cousin Lucas was able to make a quick stop in Santa Barbara on his way to an MBA training in Phoenix. Zoe loved having him there and especially loved being able to skype with his daughter, Ana. I think she is going to be really excited to hang out with her this summer in France and Switzerland. Maddox thought Lucas was pretty silly too  :)

Forts

Zoe is finally at an age where she thinks forts are the best things in the world - which they pretty much are. I forgot how much fun it was to build them and to play in them. Today was we built one in the backyard that looked a little bit like a homeless camp. She loved it.  She brought out all her favorite stuffed animals and had a "party."

First Haircuts!

Today was a big day! We finally took Zoe and Maddox to get their first hair cuts!  Zoe's hair looks pretty much the same, we took an inch off just to get it even and healthy. I'm so scared that she'll lose her curls if we cut any more. Maddox looks like a new kid - older and oddly taller. Haha.

15 Month Stats

Our little man is not so little anymore!!  Yes, you read that right...and look at how proud he is.

Everyone can stop calling him a "little guy"now.  :) 

Here are his stats:

• Height - 31.5" (65th percentile) 
• Weight - 25 lbs, 8 oz (65th percentile)

And to compare, here are Maddox's stats 3 months ago :

• Height - 29" (25th percentile)
• Weight -23 lbs 2 oz (60th percentile) 

15 Months!

I thought Zoe was stubborn and determined at 15 months...well her brother has taken it to a whole other level.  Maddox doesn't take "no" for an answer, screams like a monkey when he wants something and does it all with the cutest, melt-your-heart smile. It's impossible to stay mad at this little guy.  Even when he breaks your blender and constantly slams the doors.

This month he has 2 new top teeth, has learned to say "c'est chaud" ("it's hot") and keeps trying to jump.  His favorite foods are blueberries, quesadillas, apple sauce (we can get him to eat pretty much anything if it has Mimene's applesauce on it), carrots and broccoli. He loves his baths, his pull along doggie, dancing, playing with Maya and eating Zoe's puzzle pieces.

Happy 15th month birthday, Maddox!  We love you more than all the uni-brows in the world.

Zoe and Gavin

The Parra's came to Santa Barbara for a quick visit at the end of December and the only pictures we got were of Zoe and Gavin. But they are pretty cute! Zoe couldn't get enough of Gavin. She kept on wanting to sit RIGHT next to him. Poor Gavin kept trying to move away but Zoe persisted until he gave in. Too funny.
