My parents came down to Santa Barbara last weekend to celebrate my "I'm officially in my mid-30's" birthday. We spent as much time as we could outdoors, the weather couldn't have been better! We spent Saturday at the fair ... a first for Zoe. She was in awe of all the rides at first, pointing and saying "wow" at everything.

She hated the petting area and I don't blame her. The goats were kind of stinky and aggressive. But the lama was adorable. :) She had just gotten brave and put her hand out to feed a goat when it turned around and sneezed on her (gross). She was done after that.

The rides were a different story. It didn't surprise me that Zoe loved them. She is a daredevil, after all. We started her off slowly on the carousel...

....and moved on to this weird ride...

...then, after having a bit of a fit, she went on the helicopter ride with
Mimene. It was clear that this one was her favorite. She was hanging out of the window with a huge grin on her face the entire time.
I have a feeling that the fair is going to become a yearly excursion!
We wrapped up the weekend with breakfast, a trip to the park, massages and pedicures. It was a great birthday weekend! Thanks mom and dad for making the long trip down!
