Francis had his first cycling event of 2009 on Saturday, the Gibraltar Time Trial. Gibraltar is a 6-mile climb with an average grade of 8%... there are sustained sections with 10-15% grade. He had to climb 2 miles just to get to the start of the race! I don't know how he does it.
He did really well - came in 22nd overall out of 94 riders!
