Francis had his first road race of the year - the Poor College Kids Road Race. We headed up to Los Olivos late morning - finally a race in the afternoon AND near Santa Barbara!

It was a large race - a field of 100 riders. Francis was in a strong position half way through the race when, unfortunately, he broke a spoke and had to stop to change his wheel losing a crucial 5 minutes of time. Maya and I were oblivious to all this ... we were simply enjoying the sunshine and relaxing at the finish line.
